Third World style nepotism and corruption has reached into the heart of Britain’s ruling elite. The latest shocking example has come with the news that Guyana-born Baroness Valerie Ann Amos has landed a job with a Nigerian company which is funded by the government department she used to head up.

Booness Amos was created a “life peer” in August 1997, and as such already draws a permanent salary as part of the unelected House of Lords. She served in the cabinet as International Development Secretary.

She has now taken up a lucrative job with Travant Capital Partners which was given a £15 million handout — from her own department. Travant Capital Partners is a Nigerian private equity firm to plough British taxpayers’ money into Africa and Asia under the guise of “foreign aid.” She lists the directorship as ‘remunerated’ in the Register of Lords Interests, but there is no indication of how much she is paid.

Writing in his book The Catholic Orangemen of Togo, Britain’s former Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, claims to have been told by a director of Travant that the company “had access to DFID funds because Baroness Amos was a Director.”

Asylum: The piss take continues.

In what sounds like a Monty Python sketch, the latest unbelievable tale of exploitation of Britain’s non-existent ‘asylum policy’ has come with the news that a Pakistani woman will be granted leave to stay in Britain because she is tall.

Zainab Bibi, who is 7ft 2in, invaded Britain two-and-a-half years ago and has spent much of the time since on benefits. She has been able to send money home to her family while Home Office investigators examine her application for political asylum. Now it appears that her asylum appeal has been granted because she claims that her height has “made her a target at home.”

Miss Zainab, 35, a former holder of the ‘world’s tallest woman’ title, said when she lodged her claim that she was afraid to return to Pakistan because youths had thrown stones at her, pulled at her clothing and she once broke her wrist when attacked. Officials are expected to recommend that she should be allowed to remain in Britain.

Back in the impoverished, Punjabi village of Mandi Rajana where she was born, her family, friends and police suggest that far from being a victim, her international recognition meant she enjoyed celebrity status whenever she returned home.

Her widowed mother Iqbal Bibi, 72, kissed her picture and said: “She is safe here but if she is happy in England — and the people are very kind to her, she says — then her happiness is our happiness.”

The deputy superintendent of police, Aslam Shankar, said he would guarantee Miss Zainab’s safety if she returned. “She is a big shot now in Pakistan and I would offer her the protection her position merits.”

It was after a 15-day trip to Britain carrying out promotional work in June 2006 that Miss Zainab, who had a two-year visitor’s visa, lodged her asylum claim and was given a council flat in Stockport, together with £40 a week in benefits. Her request to stay took family and friends by surprise because in recent years she had used her height to earn money, making dozens of public appearances in her own country and abroad.

In Mandi Rajana, family friend Ghulam Mustafa said: “She was teased when she was younger but it has been no problem for at least eight years. She is safe if she returns but life is very hard here. It is nothing like England, which is more comfortable.”

Miss Zainab, who has moved to a house in Manchester, speaks little English. Through an interpreter, she said she believed her application would be successful and added that she was living in a free house with free medical treatment and a ‘generous’ allowance.

As financial losses resulting from the Madoff scheme continue to bleed throughout the country, two things have become clear: Jewish investors are acutely affected, and a few of them hail from Hollywood.
First we heard about Spielberg, then Katzenberg, then their longtime business manager Gerald Breslauer, who recommended investing with Madoff. Earlier today, the LA Times reported that screenwriter Eric Roth, who last week was nominated for a Golden Globe for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, lost his entire retirement savings. Those are the first few to fall, but the way this Ponzi pyramid is breaking down, there will likely be more. Is it mere coincidence that the Hollywood players ensnared in the scheme are all Jewish.?

If theyre from Hollywood, theyre not really Jewish, goes the stereotype. But the Madoff mess actually reveals something contrary to the prevailing belief that theres nothing substantively Jewish in Hollywood (besides a bunch of Jewish names). It speaks to a foundational common thread, something sacred that is shared amongst members of a close-knit community; a community built on trust.

How else can you explain the kind of incestuous financial rings developed and sustained within the Hollywood Jewish community? Spielberg entrusts his net worth to his Jewish business manager; he shares said business manager with friend Jeffrey Katzenberg; and that very same manager trusts their sizable assets to another reputable Jew: Bernard Madoff. It could be argued that the entire entertainment industry operates this way; a tribalistic clan working together, sharing with each other and trusting one another.

America's Unparalleled Decline.

America’s manufacturing capacities are on the verge of being totally decimated. The U.S. auto industry is on the brink of failure, outsourcing is becoming more and more prevalent and we continue to negotiate “free trade” deals with absolutely no safeguards to protect American workers. Wholesale changes to America’s economic policy are severely needed, otherwise America may have no manufacturing base left in the coming decades.

The decline of America’s manufacturing industry has been rapid and unprecedented. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, since 2000 America has lost 4,034,000 manufacturing jobs, or 23 percent of the total manufacturing workforce in the U.S. Since Dec. 2007, the U.S. has shed 604,000 manufacturing jobs, or roughly 4.5 percent of that industry’s workforce.

Manufacturing is getting hit from every direction,” Joshua Shapiro, chief U.S. economist at Maria Fiorini Ramirez Inc. in New York said. “Exports are starting to decline on top of domestic demand having blown up the last couple of months.”

Although the loss of manufacturing jobs can be felt nationwide, nowhere are the effects of “free trade” and manufacturing job loss more obvious than in the Midwest. According to BizJournal, from Aug. 2007 to Aug. 2008 Michigan lost 5 percent of its manufacturing jobs, Indiana 2.2 percent, West Virginia 1.3 percent, Pennsylvania 1.2 percent and Ohio 2.7 percent.

"The Midwest has been having more trouble with jobs, that's where manufacturing industries are concentrated, " said Bob Brusca, an economist at Fact and Opinion Economics in New York. Michigan, a state that’s economic health is linked to the auto industry, is perhaps the most affected state. While unemployment is currently running at 6.7 percent nationally, Michigan is dealing with a nearly double-digit unemployment rate of 9.6 percent. The state has lost 38,000 manufacturing jobs in the past 12 months and one in three factory jobs have been shuttered since 2000, according to the Detroit Free Press. Overall the state has lost 400,000 manufacturing jobs in the past eight years.

"Michigan has been in a seven-straight year recession," says Patrick Anderson, chief executive of Anderson Economic Group, an East Lansing, Mich., consulting firm, according to Bloomberg News. If the auto industry were to fail, the state would lose another 225,000 jobs over the next year. That would add another five percent to the state’s unemployment rolls, a commitment the state could hardly handle as it is already borrowing from the federal government to meet its obligations.

"The endurance of the citizens of the state is going to be sorely tested," Dana Johnson, Comerica Bank's chief economist warned in his latest report on the state's economy. "But as the above numbers on potential job loss so clearly indicate, it will be a far more daunting test if the Detroit Three fail to win a government rescue package."

The losses are certainly not isolated to the auto industry either, although it did lose 13,000 jobs in Nov. In that same month, 15,000 jobs were shed in the fabricated metals industry, 11,000 in the machinery industry, 9,000 in wood products and 12,000 in rubber products. Total manufacturing output for the month was down 5.5 percent from Nov. 2007, according to the Wall Street Journal.

America must stem the tide of job losses in the manufacturing sector if it wishes to ever revive its struggling economy. Without good, wealth producing jobs in this country, Americans of all stripes will suffer eventually.

The manufacturing sector is the backbone of the American economy and its engine of research and development. In 2003, 60 percent $123 billion of all research and development spending in the U.S. came from the manufacturing sector. Without American manufacturing, there is no such thing as American innovation.

On Wednesday 17 December the Guardian declared that Gordon Brown has announced that "Britain's six-year occupation of southern Iraq will end by the summer".

The article went on to say "A joint statement by the prime minister and his Iraqi counterpart, Nuri al-Maliki, said: "The role played by the UK combat forces is drawing to a close. These forces will have completed their task in the first half of 2009 and will then leave Iraq".

That will explain why a 'Friend' telephoned this evening to say that he and his opos have been told that they should immediately prepare for another six month tour. He added, "We'll still be there next Preston Guild". He should know...

Man caught with penis in pasta jar ... near Nobbys Beach

A man caught near Nobbys Beach with his penis in a pasta sauce jar led police on a 20 kmh car chase, Newcastle Local Court heard yesterday. Police drew their weapons when they suspected Keith Roy Weatherley, 46, was armed. Instead, they found him partially clothed with his genitals in a jar, a police statement said.

Weatherley, of Promontory Way, North Arm Cove, attracted attention parked in a no-stopping zone before noon on October 26. Police believed Weatherley was doing something with his hands in his lap and thought that he might have a weapon. Weatherley saw the police and drove away, despite them flashing their lights.

The chase lasted five to 10 minutes, with a top speed of just 20 kmh, before Weatherley was stopped at Centenary Drive, Newcastle. He refused to leave the car. Four officers used batons and capsicum spray to remove him.

They found a 750-millilitre jar around his penis and noted that Weatherley attempted to continue "pleasuring himself in between bouts of wrestling". A search of his car uncovered pornography, a home-made sex aid, women's stockings and a Jack Russell terrier.

Weatherley pleaded guilty to offensive behaviour, resisting police and disobeying a police direction. Magistrate Elaine Truscott asked Weatherley, who represented himself, why he behaved the way he did. He said he resisted police because he was trying to make himself "decent".

He was fined $600 for offensive behaviour and convicted of the other two offences without further action taken.

Millions for Invaders. Our Heroes Treated Like Dirt

This past month has seen story after story of millions being spent on immigrant invaders — living in million pound houses and drawing benefits for not working — yet the final story of this year is of how a dying 101-year old decorated British war hero was sent home from an NHS hospital wearing only a nappy and a set of ill-fitting pyjamas.



Brigadier John Platt, who won the Distinguished Service Order for his bravery in battle, was left “degraded and humiliated” by his treatment by Salisbury District Hospital, his family said.

Brigadier Platt had spend five days on a mixed-sex ward during which his hearing aid was stepped on and crushed, his false teeth went missing and his soiled pyjamas were piled up in a locker by his bed for the duration.

He was unable to feed himself and was discharged in an incontinent and confused state, clutching a bag of his dirty clothes.

Brigadier Platt, who took part in one of the fiercest battles of the Italian campaign during the Second World War, died several days after his hour-long journey home to Morpeth, in Northumberland.

His daughter-in-law Amanda described his treatment as “disgraceful.” She added: “All that he had at the end of his 101 years was his dignity and they took that away from him. You just don’t do that to people … I was so furious. I think respect in that situation is the same as compassion.

“I just can’t believe that any hospital would keep excrement-covered clothing in a locker for five days. I got the impression this lack of attention must be endemic because it was so lightly treated.”

Brigadier Platt was awarded the DSO for bravery after leading men of the 2nd Bn, the Somerset Light Infantry, in an assault across the Gargliano River in May 1944. He was wounded twice during the operation.

The NHS struggles from deficit to deficit. Yet successive Tory and Labour governments spend billions on foreign aid, immigration, illegal wars in the Middle East, bloated civil service jobs, peerages-for-pals and other scandals.

Is this the nation which we have become?

Yet Another Bridgend Teenage Suicide !!

A 17-year-old boy from an area blighted by apparent young suicides has been found hanged. In the last two years, 24 young people have killed themselves in the Bridgend area. The teenager was discovered near the tennis club in the Newbridge Fields area of Bridgend, police said.

Since January 2007, 24 young people from the Bridgend area are believed to have killed themselves. A South Wales Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to a report of a sudden death of a 17-year-old male in the Bridgend area. "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."

The police spokesman said while there were similarities between recent sudden deaths in the county, there was no criminal link. "There are clearly similarities between recent sudden deaths in Bridgend, but South Wales Police can confirm that our investigations have by no means uncovered any criminal evidence that links them.

"It would therefore be inappropriate to comment any further in relation to this particular incident as any non criminal matters are for the coroner."

US to fall apart in civil war says Russia

As early as autumn 2009 the economic crisis may lead to a civil war in the USA and then to its division into parts. Igor Panarin, doctor of political science, dean of the foreign affairs department at the Diplomacy Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, presented this forecast ten years ago. At that time his forecasts seemed unrealistic, but now many of them are coming true.

We present a new version of the event’s development through the eyes of the scientist, even though it may seem disputable and even scandalous.

In his interview with Izvestia, professor Panarin shares his opinion on the following issues: why the United States decided on monetary reform; who Obama is working for; and why it is better for Russia to be friends with China.

Question: Mr. Panarin, where did this idea of the breakup of the US come from back in 1998, when this country was prospering and when it was an unconditional world leader?

Answer: In September 1998 an international conference called the Informational War was held in Austria. I presented my analytical research there. 150 out of 400 participants were from the USA. There was outrageous shouting in the audience when I was talking about the division of America in my presentation. However my reasons were well-grounded. Back then it was obvious that finance and economy would be the main destructive power for the USA. The dollar was not secured by anything. The external debt of the country was growing like an avalanche in spite of the fact that it was non-existent at the beginning of the 1980s. In 1998, when I was making my forecast, it had reached 2 trillion dollars. Today it’s more than 11 trillion. This is a pyramid which is bound to collapse.

Q: Will the entire American economy collapse?

A: It is collapsing now. Three out of the five largest and oldest banks on Wall Street ceased to exist because of the financial crisis; and the other two are on the verge of not surviving. Their losses are the largest in history. Now we are talking about replacing the regulation system in the world: America will no longer be the world regulator.

Q: Which country will replace it?

A: Two countries are making a claim for this role: China with its large reserves, and Russia as a country which could play the role of a regulator on the Eurasian territory. A rather remarkable event took place at the G20 summit which has just taken place in Washington. Participants put forward the new architectonics of the international affairs where a key role would belong to the International Monetary Fund. But the International Monetary Fund needs funds. Thus the participants addressed China and Japan with a request to provide money. The gold reserves of China come to more than 2 trillion dollars. It is the largest creditor to the USA. Now it will definitely affect the policy of the fund. By the way, it is not accidental that Mr. Hu Jintao met two leaders at the summit: the Russian President and the leader of the UK. There are plans to hold the spring G20 meeting in England. And the meeting with Russia as a country which is putting forward the basic principles of reconstructing the world financial system also clearly fits the vision of the Chinese reformation process.

“Skeleton which keeps the USA together is fragile”

Q: We are clear about the world leaders. But let’s go back to the USA. What makes you believe in the possible division of the country?

A: There are a number of reasons. First, the financial problems of the USA will increase. Millions of citizens have already lost their savings. Prices and unemployment keep growing. General Motors and Ford are on the verge of collapse which means that entire towns will end up unemployed. The governors are now harshly demanding money from the federal center. Complaints are growing. They’ve been restrained so far by the presidential election and by hope that Obama could perform a miracle. However, by spring it will become clear that a miracle will not happen.

The second factor is the vulnerability of the political mechanism in the USA. There is no uniform legislation on the territory of the country. There aren’t even general uniform traffic rules. The skeleton which keeps the USA together is fragile. Even the armed forces in Iraq are represented by the non-citizens of the United States to a large extent. They fight for the promise of American citizenship. Thus the army, as a melting pot has stopped fulfilling a consolidating function for the American state. And finally, the split of the elite has made itself especially clear under the conditions of the crisis.

“Hundred dollar notes may get frozen”

Q: How will the country be divided? Mexico is obviously in the south. What else?

A: There are six parts altogether. The first one is the Pacific Ocean coast of the USA. I can give you an example: 53% of San Francisco’s population is Chinese. The Governor of Washington state was an ethnic Chinese; its capital, Seattle, is called the gate of the Chinese emigration to the USA. It is obvious that the Pacific Ocean coast has been gradually influenced by China. The second part in the south is definitely the Mexicans. In some areas, Spanish has become the official language already. Then comes Texas which has been openly fighting for independence. The Atlantic coast has a totally different ethnos and mentality. It could be split into two parts as well. And we are left with two central depressive areas. May I remind you that five central states where the Indians live had announced their independence. It was perceived as a joke or a kind of a political show. But the fact remains the same. Canada is making a strong influence in the North. By the way, Russia may require returning Alaska, as it had been rented out…

Q: What will happen to the dollar then?

A: In 2006 a secret agreement was made between Canada, Mexico and the USA on preparing to implement the Amero as a new currency unit. This may mean replacement of the dollar. At the same time 100-dollar notes which have flooded the world may just get “frozen”. An excuse may be used, for example, that terrorists have made false notes which need to be checked.

"Confrontation between the clans has become open”

Q: Could you tell us about the division of the elite. Are these the democrats and the republicans?

A: No, that is not right. There are two groups in the US authorities. The first one may be called the globalists, or the Trotskyites. Leon Trotsky had already formulated their idea in the past: it’s not Russia that we need, but a world revolution. Soviet Russia was viewed by them as a base for control over the world. The second group is the statists which want prosperity for their country. Representatives of these two clans are present in both democratic and Republican Parties. Take voting for the anti-crisis plan of Paulson, which was suggested by the Republican administration, for example. It was voted down in the Congress by the Republicans first of all.

Q: Who is in charge of the clans?

A: The key persons of the globalists are Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Vice President Dick Cheney. The key persons of the statists are Robert Gates, Defense Secretary; Michael Hayden, CIA Director; and Admiral Mike McConnell, director of national intelligence. Globalists are mainly the financial elite, and statists are the armed forces, special services and military and industrial complex. Recently the confrontation between these two clans has become open. In December last year the statists presented a report which completely denied the existence of the nuclear program in Iran. It directly contradicted conclusions made by Condoleezza Rice and Dick Cheney. The second important event took place at the hearings of the US Congress concerning the 5-day war in the Caucasus. The globalists represented by Condoleezza Rice insisted that Russia had started the war and that it would be punished for it. Georgia was the project of Condoleezza. Several days ago an agreement was signed between Russia and Belarus on transferring payments for oil and gas to roubles. This is the beginning of establishing the ruble as the regional currency as well. We’ve been receiving our currency from Kazakhstan and Belarus for electricity already. Now our task is to try to make as many rouble contracts as possible for the year 2009 before the end of this year. In this case Russia will be able to escape the growing global crisis. We have to cut the ropes tying us to the financial “Titanic” which, in my opinion, will drown in the nearest future.

Child Marriages increasing in Britian

Bizarre Third World practices — including forced marriages of nine-year-olds and honour killings — are on the rise in Britain as the Third World colonisation of the country continues.

Newly released statistics show that more than 2,000 young female children went missing from school last year in areas identified as “high risk” by the Foreign Office’s Forced Marriage Unit. “High risk” is politically correct newspeak for Muslim.

The figure shows a dramatic increase over the previously released statistics which showed that in the first nine months of 2008, the Foreign Office’s Forced Marriage Unit handled more than 1,300 cases — about half of these involving minors.

Every year in the UK, about 13 women are victims of honour killings, occurring within Asian and Middle Eastern families. Police have complained that the cases can often not be resolved due to the “unwillingness of family, relatives and communities to testify.”

In 2003 the Metropolitan Police set up a strategic task force to tackle the issue. A specialist unit was given the task of researching honour crimes and 100 murder files spanning the last decade were re-opened in an effort to find common links.

A 2006 BBC poll for the Asian network in the UK found that 1 in 10 of the 500 young Asians polled said that they could condone the murder of someone who dishonoured their family.

Government estimates that two-thirds of forced marriages of ?British’ nationals are linked to Pakistan, and many of them involve poor families in remote rural areas. Last year, the British High Commission Assistance Unit in Islamabad dealt with 131 cases of forced marriage, up from 85 the previous year.

Jasvinder Sanghera, founder of the Karma Nirvana charity which aims to help victims of forced marriages, inadvertently highlighted the cause of the problem when discussing the issue in a recent newspaper.

Ms Sanghera pointed out that the immigrants are actually bringing their culture to Britain, even though the victims might be second or third generation British-born. This is how colonisation works: outsiders bring their culture with them and make it the norm in the regions they occupy.

“These young girls are very isolated, they only know the environment they’ve been brought up in, they’ve been conditioned — groomed almost — to only know this way of life,” Ms Sanghera said.

“In many cases, they are kept prisoner in their own homes before being flown abroad and forced to marry. Their partners have been chosen for them and that process starts from eight-years-old.”

Campaigners also fear these figures only reveal the tip of the iceberg as forced marriage is so under-reported.

But Ms Sanghera warns that underage girls at risk of kidnap, rape and violence rarely get the support they need. “Often this is because schools are reluctant to intervene for fear of being accused of racism,” she added.

While the likes of Gary Glitter are being relentlessly persued to the ends of the Earth for their nefarious deeds involving underage sex, a whole section of our society is being allowed to continue such practices not just with impunity but it seems with the tacit approval of government on the mere basis that it is 'their culture'. Finally, without wandering to far from the subject, does this not stand in stark contrast to the examples we have recently witnessed where our own people are arrested, tortured and prosecuted for following and celebrating their own perfectly lawful cultural and traditional activities?. We live in perilous times, particularly when the establishment regards being a member of the BNP to be more heinous even than raping helpless little girls. The only antidote for this is the gallows, not only for those that commit such atrocities but also for those in authority who allow them to happen and choose to do nothing to prevent it.

New life on benefits: Celestine and Pierette Sejemani with their children

Out of the 4,500 residents of Falinge, Rochdale, only 300 work - despite hundreds of jobs being available. The majority are 'on the sick'.

Such is the vastness of Celestine Sejemani’s flat-screen television that, at the push of a button, he could have summoned a supersized James Purnell into the front-room of his council flat. As it is, one of his four children has commandeered the remote control, and certainly isn’t offering to swap Balamory for the news.

In any case, neither Celestine nor his partner, Pierette, would have enjoyed the flavour of the Work and Pension Secretary’s words as he outlined a shake-up of the benefits system earlier this month. ‘Work is good for people,’ announced Mr Purnell. ‘Leaving people on benefits is the cruel thing to do.’

If that’s the case, this family must be suffering. Celestine, a Congolese-born immigrant who has problems with his eyesight, is one of 2.6 million people claiming Incapacity Benefit in the UK.

His long-term girlfriend is paid an additional allowance to help look after him, and then there are tax credits and child benefits on top of that. Their paid-for council accommodation aside, it means that the taxpayer is funding this one family to the tune of more than £12,000 a year.

37-year-old Mr Sejemani says that he fled war-torn Republic of Congo in 2001 after his father and sister were murdered for their ethnic origins. He claims to have been placed in a Congolese jail for a year, his eyesight suffering because of the lack of light in his cell during his incarceration.

After his release, he fled to Britain in May 2001 and claimed asylum after arriving at Heathrow. After two weeks in a hostel, he was offered accommodation in a choice of places, one of which was Falinge. He settled on the unemployment blackspot after hearing that 80 other asylum-seekers from the Congo were living in the area.

After two years there he was granted asylum. He immediately sent for his partner, Pierette, 36, and their daughter Benadiete, now 11, to join him. In the seven years he has been here Mr Sejemani, a trained mechanic, has never worked. ‘I wanted to,’ he says. ‘But unfortunately I have vision impairment as a result of being in the prison with no light.

‘I am very sad that I have a problem with my eyes. I would love to go to work, but my vision is a big problem.’ His partner says she, too, wants to work, but that after arriving in the UK she soon fell pregnant, her youngest three children being born on British soil in rapid succession: Grace, four, Faith, two, and seven-month-old Jevhovanis, who arrived 11 weeks premature.

The couple receive £125 a week in Incapacity benefit and carer’s allowances. On top of that are tax credits and child benefit worth £108 a week.

The family live in a neatly decorated three-bedroom flat, which is dominated by the massive Philips colour TV, which is being paid for at the rate of £20-a-week over three years. ‘I couldn’t see a small one,’ explains Mr Sejemani.

‘Life is Great’ says Muslim Mother of Eight Living in £2.6m Tax Payer Funded Mansion

An unmarried Muslim mother of eight is living the highlife on British taxpayers’ expense after being provided with a £2.6 million mansion as part of her housing benefit by a London Council.

“I’m not going to pretend it isn’t great,” said 33 year old Francesca Walker, whose children by two fathers are aged from five to 16.

Speaking to a London newspaper about her house which costs taxpayers £90,000 a year, she added that she doesn’t know how to use the dishwasher, can’t quite believe the granite kitchen counters, and feels lost in her en-suite bathroom the size of a living room.

In October it was revealed a family of eight Afghan invaders were being housed in a £1.2 million private home in Ealing for an annual taxpayer-funded rental of £150,000.

Miss Walker was given the five bedroom, three bathroom four-floor property because of a loophole which means Kensington and Chelsea council had to fund a suitable home in the borough for a family of that size.

“Look at these lovely high-gloss kitchen units,” she told a newspaper reporter, taking him on a tour of the villa in Ladbroke Road which has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, double living room, study and roof terrace on four floors.

“All my life I’ve lived in overcrowded flats on estates with gangs that kicked our door in and harassed my children, but now we’re living on a street of millionaires.” The taxpayer picks up the tab for her monthly rent of £7,600.

Kensington and Chelsea council moved her into the property in September, and she now has David Cameron, Hugh Grant and Richard Curtis as neighbours.

Miss Walker, a British-born Muslim studying psychology through the Open University, said she had been taken into care at 14 after her mother suffered a nervous breakdown, and had since attempted to rebuild her life.

She gets £15,000 a year in benefits in addition to the £91,260 rent paid by the Government via the council.

To her affluent neighbours, Miss Walker, in her embroidered espadrilles and hijab, is something of an enigma. Many have never rubbed shoulders with a council tenant and some took her to be the wife of a Middle Eastern businessman.

Guests can’t fail to notice she has furnished the villa in style. She has two 42in flat-screen TVs, a computer and a clutch of expensive looking sofas and Ottoman beds.

The house does not feel sparsely appointed, as some might expect, given that she’s meant to be living on the poverty line and it was rented “unfurnished.”

So how does she manage to afford all this on benefits? “I’m a self-taught seamstress,” she told the newspaper, showing the reporter her sewing machine. “I buy second-hand sofas off eBay for £95 that would sell for £3,000 new then re-upholster them. I also got the TVs off eBay for £110.”

She was brought up by her Jamaican-born mother on the World’s End estate in Chelsea after her father, a musician, abandoned them.

She smiles. “And now that I am here, I’m not going to pretend it isn’t great. It’s amazing to have so much space
