Pub landlords beware: from next Sunday it will be an offence, punishable by unlimited compensation orders, to allow customers to chat up bar staff.

No, this isn't an early April fool. It's a European directive, sneaked into British law by Women's Minister Harriet Harman.

From April 6, employers will risk being sued if a bar worker or waitress complains of being called "love" or "darling", or if staff overhear customers telling sexist jokes.

So serious is the threat that lawyers are advising pub owners to cover themselves by displaying warning notices declaring: "Harassment is not tolerated."

Meanwhile, the Government Equalities Office estimates that complying with the new rules will cost hard-pressed small businesses more than £10million.

British soldier killed in Iraq

Breaking news.

It is with deep regret that the Ministry of Defence must confirm the death of a British soldier in Iraq today, 26 March 2008. The soldier died as a result of gunshot wounds sustained during a firefight in the early hours of this morning.

The soldier's family have been informed, and have asked for privacy from the media as they come to terms with their loss. The MOD will not be providing any further updates in line with the wishes of the family, who are in our thoughts at this difficult time because the soldier was a member of an active SAS unit possibly in either of the heavily Sunni locations of Kirkuk or Western Mozul. Not in Baghdad or Basra as some reports state.

Food shortages loom as wheat crop shrinks and prices rise.
London Times Story says only 10 weeks wheat supply left worldwide!.

THE world is only ten weeks away from running out of wheat supplies after stocks fell to their lowest levels for 50 years.

The crisis has pushed prices to an all-time high and could lead to further hikes in the price of bread, beer, biscuits and other basic foods.

It could also exacerbate serious food shortages in developing countries especially in Africa.

The crisis comes after two successive years of disastrous wheat harvests, which saw production fall from 624m to 600m tonnes, according to the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO).

Experts blame climate change as heatwaves caused a slump in harvests last year in eastern Europe, Canada, Morocco and Australia, all big wheat producers.

Booming populations and a switch to a meat-rich diet in the developing world also mean that about 110m tons of the world’s annual wheat crop is being diverted to feed livestock.

Short term pressures have compounded the problem. Speculative buying by investors gambling on further price rises has further pushed up prices.

Though shortages are often blamed on the use of land for biofuel crops, the main biofuel cereal crop is maize, not wheat. Farmers have brought millions of acres of fallow land into production and the FAO predicts that the shortages could be eliminated within 12 months.

IMF WARNS OF GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS!

SAYS CENTRAL BANK INTERVENTION CANNOT TO STOP GLOBAL FINANCIAL COLLAPSE

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) today warned authorities worldwide to "think the unthinkable" in planning to cope with a mounting crisis in the global financial system.

John Lipsky, IMF first deputy managing director, called for "decisive policy action" amid a credit crunch that stems from the US real estate meltdown and is spreading throughout the financial markets.

The coordinated actions by the US Federal Reserve and other global central banks on Tuesday to further pump billions of dollars of liquidity into financial markets were "helpful" but stronger measures may be necessary.

Policy actions worldwide to date "may not prove to be adequate" to deal with the "low-probability but high-impact events" that may materialize and undermine global financial stability, Lipsky said in an address at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, a Washington think tank.

"Policy makers as a matter of course need to 'think the unthinkable,' and to consider how they would plan to react if contingencies arise. The need to prepare more systematically for potential risks has been demonstrated amply during the past few months," he said.

"By now, there is little doubt that risks of further escalation of this crisis are rising and decisive policy action will be required to put the global financial system and economy on a firmer footing." He said the first priority was to reverse the spreading strains in global financial markets and to restore the normal functioning of the financial system in advanced economies.

If contingent risks materialize, the central banks together with financial supervisors and regulators will be the first line of defence. The second line of defence lies with fiscal authorities. Finally, public intervention will be considered as a third line of defence, Lipsky said. The IMF "stands ready to use its record liquidity if needed to help cushion the global economy," Lipsky said, adding, "we must keep all options on the table."

Kosovo, the Marxist EUtopia

Serbs are having none of it



United Nations police in Kosovo have been forced to withdraw from Serb areas in the divided city of Mitrovica after clashes with Serb demonstrators. At least 22 UN police and eight Nato troops were reported injured after a raid to retake a court seized by Serbs. Troops used teargas as they faced gunfire, stones and petrol bombs.

It is the worst violence since Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence last month. Kosovo Serbs and Serbia refuse to recognise its independence. It also coincides with the fourth anniversary of a two-day episode of inter-ethnic violence in Mitrovica that left 31 people dead.



In Monday's clashes, UN and Nato vehicles were set alight as hundreds of protesters gathered outside the court. Three UN policemen and two Nato K-For soldiers were injured in an explosion, thought to have been caused by a hand grenade. Tension in the region has risen sharply since Kosovo declared independence.

In February, some 150 Kosovo Serb police officers were suspended for refusing to take orders from the ethnic Albanian authorities in Kosovo's capital, Pristina. Most EU states and the US have recognised Pristina's unilateral declaration of independence. Serbia backed by its ally Russia says the move is illegal.

Time for Russia to get in there and sort it by my reckoning.......

A reported racist incident has made the pages of the Daily Mail. Northamptonshire Police are investigating a complaint of racism from a traveller against Basil Brush...yes you read that correctly. The alleged racist incident took place on CBBC, the BBC's digital service for children which ran a re-run of a program made six years ago and featured a gypsy woman trying to sell the children's puppet heather and wooden pegs. Joseph Jones, vice-chairman of the Southern England Romany, Gypsy and Irish Traveler Network compared the programme to the Black and White Minstrel Show. No doubt the police will leap into action and investigate this racist incident. The only problem they may face is the ban on Fox hunting.

Islamist Threats Make RAF Order Personnel to Stop Wearing Uniforms

Incredible but true: after serious threats of kidnap and murder by Islamist fanatics were made against personnel at RAF Wittering in Peterborough, the official order has gone out: RAF servicemen are not to wear their uniforms in public.According to a local paper in the town, fears for their safety has led to personnel at RAF Wittering being ordered not to wear their uniforms in public after incidents of verbal abuse in Peterborough.

Station commander Group Captain Ro Atherton has told troops to keep a low profile after taking advice from RAF police.

The move - which has come to light after a Birmingham Islamist fanatic was jailed for planning to kidnap and behead a British Army soldier - was described as a “sad day for the city” by mayor Marion Todd. She said: “I honestly think it’s despicable.

“It’s a sad day for the city and for the country when the RAF can’t wear their uniforms, particularly when they hold the Freedom of the City honour.

“A small minority of people shouldn’t be able to dictate to us, particularly at the moment when we are so proud of what they (the forces) are doing, serving queen and country.”

This is the second time that the British armed forces have issued such a decree. A while ago, service personnel from the Territorial Army in Yorkshire were also warned not to wear their uniforms to and from bases after credible threats had been made by Islamist fanatics to kidnap and kill members appearing in public in their uniforms.

The question is this: how much longer will Britons accept this state of affairs? How much more denigration will be tolerated before the British lion rises again? The time has come for every true patriot to get out there and ensure that the only party which can save Britain from the Third World invasion, the BNP, comes to power as quickly as possible.

I wonder how many times and in how many different ways can one attempt to convince someone of a fact before it finally permeates the grey matter, you know, before it really sinks in that they are not just barking up the wrong fucking tree but they are in fact not even in the right arboreal region.

For the last year (exactly this week) I have been pestered, harrased, threatened, disturbed and generally fucked about by court officers, bailiff's, debt collectors, old bill and a menagerie of morons and imbeciles either knocking my door at all hours of the day and night or shoving notices through my door pursuant of a man that has not lived at this address, for at the very least, three years to my exact knowledge.

In a matter of seconds using the same computer I use to administer this blog I am able to show with complete accuracy that the bloke does not and has not lived here for years by doing a simple search of my local electoral roll. In fact I believe with a fair degree of certainty I have actually discovered his true whereabouts less than a mile from here.

Is this man a master criminal? perhaps you may ask, to which the answer is no. He actually owes less than £100 of an unpaid fine from five years ago. Do the maths, the cost of this fiasco must be at least ten times the amount owed. What a pitiful and wanton waste of time money and effort for a piss pot sum of money from someone who in all likelihood does not have the wherewithal to pay anyway. And then there is is aggravation it causes me. I have tried to be patient, I have tried to be polite and diplomatic about this but now my patience is exhausted and the gloves have come off. The next cunt that knocks my door or shoves anything through my letter box in relation to this arse tunneller will suffer grievous injury and I don't give a shit who or what he/she is.

Nahh, actually I have a cunning plan :)) £££££££££££££££££££££££££££££ :))

No wonder the justice system in this country is a fucking laughing stock.

CitiBank on the brink of collapse

Americas biggest bank CitiBank part of CitiGroup is on the verge of total meltdown and collapse.

Gulf investors may not save Citigroup, Dubai executive says.

DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--Mideast sovereign wealth funds may fail to save troubled U.S. banking giant Citigroup unless more cash is pumped into the lender, the head of a $13 billion Dubai-owned investment firm said today.

Sameer Al Ansari, Chief Executive of Dubai International Capital told delegates at a private equity conference that it will take more than the combined efforts of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, the Kuwait Investment Authority and Saudi investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal to save the bank.

"It's going to take more than that to rescue Citi," Ansari said. He added that more write downs are expected and that Gulf investors would be required to bolster Citi. The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, or ADIA, a sovereign wealth fund owned by the world's fourth-largest oil exporter, last year bought a 4.9% stake in Citigroup.
The Kuwait Investment Authority also said in January it would invest $3 billion in Citigroup.
Al Ansari said "it would take a lot more money to rescue Citigroup." A spokesperson for Citi was unable to comment immediately when called Tuesday.

Dubai International Capital, an investment firm controlled by Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, owns a stake in HSBC Holdings PLC (HSBA.LN), bought 3.12% in European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co last year. The company also owns a stake in Standard Chartered PLC (STAN.LN), according to Zawya Investor.

The intervention of sovereign funds such as ADIA, which pumped $7.6 billion into Citi, has failed to stem a decline in the bank's share price that was first triggered by the emergence last year of an $11 billion sub-prime write-down that led to the resignation of the then embattled chief executive Charles 'Chuck' Prince.

Canadian Troops To Patrol US Cities

Russian Military Analysts are reporting in the Kremlin today that the United States has, for the first time in its history, granted rights to a Foreign Army to have full power over the life and death of American Citizens in their own country.

Though not being reported to the American people by their propaganda media organs, the United States Northern Command Military Leader, US Air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, and his Canadian counterpart, Air Force Lt.-Gen. Marc Dumais announced this new Military Pact this past week, and as we can read: U.S. Air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, and Canadian Air Force Lt.-Gen. Marc Dumais, commander of Canada Command, have signed a Civil Assistance Plan that allows the military from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a civil emergency.

This document is a unique, bilateral military plan to align our respective national military plans to respond quickly to the other nation's requests for military support of civil authorities,Renuart said. Unity of effort during bilateral support for civil support operations such as floods, forest fires, hurricanes, earthquakes and effects of a terrorist attack, in order to save lives, prevent human suffering and mitigate damage to property, is of the highest importance, and we need to be able to have forces that are flexible and adaptive to support rapid decision-making in a collaborative environment.

It is interesting to note, too, that the Canadian peoples, like their American neighbors to the south, were not told of these plans for their Military Forces, and as we can read as reported by Canada's Canwest News Service, and who say Canada and the U.S. have signed an agreement that paves the way for the militaries from either nation to send troops across each other's borders during an emergency, but some are questioning why the Harper government has kept silent on the deal. Neither the Canadian government nor the Canadian Forces announced the new agreement, which was signed Feb. 14 in Texas.

Russian Colonel Gen Vladimir Bulgakov, Commander of Russia's Far East Military District, points out in these reports that it is no wonder that neither the US or Canadian War Leaders want the masses of their citizens to know about these unprecedented events as soldiers by their inherent training are for use in war, not peace.

These reports further note that though Canada currently possesses 125,000 active Military and 36,500 Reserve Troops, the majority of which have been combat hardened in the US Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the only Canadian Troops available for any, so called, civil emergency in the United States, are soldiers from its Special Operations Forces Command (CANSOFCOM), and which Russian Military Commanders rate as being one of the top Special Forces Units among all of the World's Army's.

The more likely use of these Canadian Troops on American Soil, these reports go on to say, would be for the patrolling of US Cities during times of civil war, internal unrest, or, most fearfully, the assisting of US Police in the rounding up of masses of US Citizens for arrest and internment.

This assessment of the truest intentions of the United States War Leaders granting power over their own citizens to Canadian Special Forces Troops, appears to be supported by information coming from US Troops returning from Iraq, and as we can read as reported by the Prison Planet News Service in their report titled "U.S. Troops Asked If They Would Shoot American Citizens", and which says: U.S. troops are being trained to conduct round-ups, confiscate guns and shoot American citizens, including their own friends and family members, as part of a long-standing program to prepare for the declaration of martial law, according to a soldier who recently returned from Iraq.

We received an e mail from "Scott", a member of a pipefitters union that runs an apprenticeship program called Helmets To Hard Hats, which according to its website, "Is a national program that connects National Guard, Reserve and transitioning active-duty military members with quality career training and employment opportunities within the construction industry.

Scott writes that his company hired a soldier who had recently returned from Iraq, who told him that U.S. troops were being quizzed on whether or not they would be prepared to shoot their own friends and family members during a national state of emergency in America.

An estimated timeline in these reports states that the American people could begin seeing Canadian Soldiers in their cities as early as this summer, as many experts are predicting that the massive food shortages being reported all around the World will begin causing food riots in many American cities.

To how bad the Global Food Crisis is becoming we can read as reported by Australia's Adelaide Now News Service, and which says: A WORSENING global food shortage is a problem far more urgent than climate change, top Australian scientists have warned. The Australian Science Media Centre briefing heard why prices for some staple foods had risen by as much as 60 per cent in the past year, and how dramatic price rises are expected to sweep across all staples in the near future.

There remains no evidence to suggest, either, that the American people themselves are aware of the brutal future being planned for them. Even more sadly, perhaps, is the evidence suggesting that they don't even want to know.

British Airman killed in Iraq (in conclusion)

It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must confirm the death of Sergeant Duane 'Baz' Barwood, attached to 903 Expeditionary Air Wing, Royal Air Force on Friday 29 February 2008, as a result of a rocket attack on the Contingency Operating Base in Basra.

Duane Barwood from Carterton, Oxfordshire, joined the Royal Air Force in 1985 as an RAF Regiment Gunner and later transferred to become a Motor Transport Driver. He was promoted to Sergeant within nine years in the trade, which is exceptional by any standard. Sgt Barwood, 41, was based at RAF Brize Norton and attached to No 903 Expeditionary Air Wing.

"It is obvious to me that he was one of those characters who translates our theoretical 'Core Values' - respect, integrity, service and excellence. In the very recent past, I shook his hand during one of those poignant 'in-the-field' ceremonies - his exemplary contribution during an incident at Basrah, alongside a group of his fine colleagues, earned him formal recognition. He is a human being one is proud to have known." Quote: Air Commodore Mike Harwood.

He leaves behind his loving family, wife Sharon and two daughters, Leanna and Rebecca.

Police fired on in Paris. Ahhh diversity

Four police officers were wounded when masked 'youths' fired shotguns at them in a southern suburb of Paris on Sunday, the French interior minister has said.

Michele Alliot-Marie said about 30 people ambushed the officers after they were called to Grigny when a local bakery was vandalised.

Three officers were treated at the scene after being hit by lead shot. A fourth was admitted to hospital. in a statement, Ms Alliot-Marie said police were called to an estate in Grigny on Sunday afternoon after several people vandalised a local bakery.

When the officers arrived, they were confronted by "about 30 people whose faces were masked and several of whom were armed," she added. The armed youths fired cartridges containing lead shot and nails at the police, while others threw stones and Molotov cocktails, setting cars alight.


About 60 police were injured when riots broke out in other suburbs in November. In 2005, the government declared a state of national emergency after three weeks of rioting erupted at housing estates in more than 30 towns and cities.

British airman killed in Iraq (update)

This report has only just reached the MOD home page (using the same headline!) so you saw it here first. Not that that is in any way laudable but it does just go to show how much priority these tragic events get nowadays.

It is with deep regret that the Ministry of Defence must confirm that a British airman was killed in Basra, southern Iraq yesterday, Friday 29 February 2008.

The airman, who was attached to 903 Expeditionary Air Wing, Royal Air Force, died as a result of a rocket attack on the Contingency Operating Base in Basra.

The airman’s next of kin have been informed and have requested a period of 24 hours before further details are released.

Police are hunting a man they believe is responsible for a number of sex attacks on young women in Northampton - some as young as 14. Police are asking for help to trace the man suspected of approaching and sexually touching a number of young women in the Eastern District. Police are linking four incidents in Northampton:

A man approached a 14-year-old girl outside McDonalds, off Wellingborough Road in Weston Favell on December 21. He put his arm around her and made inappropriate comments to her. A man approached a woman in Billing Brook Road on January 31, put his arm around her and took her phone.

A 19-year-old woman was pushed into an alleyway off Lings Way and touched inappropriately by a man at about 7pm on Monday February 18. A 14-year-old girl was walking in the Goldings area at about 7.10pm on Wednesday February 27 when a man put his arm around her and touched her.

The man is a very dark skinned black man, 6ft tall, medium to muscular build with short black hair and distinctive bloodshot or staring eyes. He is thought to be in his 30s. Detective Chief Inspector John Jones, of the Homicide and Major Crime Team, urged people to report sightings of this man to the police.

"We are now linking what appeared to be a number of unrelated incidents and, while they are all unacceptable, the fact that the man could be responsible in each case is a cause of concern to me," DCI Jones said.

"To have a series of incidents like this is very rare but I want people to be aware of what has happened and pass on information to us if they think they recognise the man involved, who could well be local."

Police particularly need to trace one man who could have witnessed the incident in Goldings this week. He was a white man, possibly in his 40s, wearing big glasses and walking a dog.

Thinking back a couple of years I seem to recall reports from Northampton about a band of savages roving the county in BMW's raping and attacking women with abandon. I also seem to recall that nothing came of those inquiries either..

Deportee tried to rape woman in internet cafe

A 'man' accused of attempting to rape a woman in the toilets of a Teddington internet cafe told his trembling victim: "You don't want to die, do you?", a court heard this week.

Anosh Ahmed, 31, of Harrow, an immigrant due to be deported to India, denied attempted rape when he appeared before magistrates in Richmond on Tuesday. It is alleged Ahmed carried out the attack at about 5pm at Cafe Coffee Day in York Road on Sunday, February 24.

In a statement read out in court, a 21-year-old woman claimed Ahmed attacked after he let her use a computer while he cleaned the cafe after closing. She alleged he came out of the toilet and kissed her on the cheek. She asked him what he was doing and to stop. The woman said he then forced her into the toilet, pushed her to the ground and straddled her.

She claimed he said: "It's OK, it's just sex. You don't want to die do you?" He then told her he was wearing a condom. The court heard how he put his hand down her trousers and noted she was not wearing underwear, before telling her to take off her clothes.

She did so, sobbing and shaking with fear. He asked her "You don't want to do this?" She said no. He said he would not let her go until she stopped crying. As they got to the door he said: "I know everything about you, don't tell anyone about this."

Ahmed was remanded in custody and will appear at Kingston Crown Court on Thursday, May 8.

British Airman killed in Iraq

News just emerging, pending update.

A British airman has died following a rocket attack on a military base in Basra, southern Iraq.

The serviceman, attached to the Royal Air Force's 903 Expeditionary Air Wing, was killed in the attack at about 2130 local time (1830 GMT) on Friday. The serviceman's family has been informed, said the Ministry of Defence.

The death takes the number of UK troops killed in Iraq to 175. The last fatality was a member of 1st Battalion The Scots Guards, killed in December.

Something the Welsh Conservative Party does not want its members or supporters to know

The news that Tory leader Dave “Hug a Hoodie” Cameron is listed as a supporter of the Labour endorsed, trades union funded, communist hate-gang, calling itself “United Against Fascism” is no secret. Quite why he hasn’t demanded that these communists remove his name from their supporters list remains something of a mystery!

The fact that the leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Nick Bourne, last year referred to BNP supporters as a “nasty, mean, distasteful and grubby bunch of sub-human flotsam and jetsam who we need to ensure do not prosper from the democratic process” is also not news.

However, what IS news is the Welsh Conservatives apparent determination to keep from their own members the unpalatable and shameful fact that they are working hand in glove with anti-democratic elements, including the Communist Party in Wales, under the communist Searchlight “umbrella”.

It is neigh on impossible to believe that the Tories can be unaware of the communist and criminal backgrounds of some associated with Searchlight or of its close relationship with Labour. Clearly the Welsh Tory Party is so desperate to stem the advance of the BNP and to preserve its place at the Welsh Assembly and Westminster troughs that they have sunk to working with communists and ex-cons (and we don’t mean ex-”con”servatives either)!

But, for reasons that are only too obvious, the Welsh Tory Party aren’t too keen on their rank and file members or their traditional “right wing” supporters, finding out – which, of course, explains why they are keeping so quiet about it all. After all, it would never do for the “faithful” to learn what is being done in their name and that their party has joined the likes of Searchlight and the Communist Party in the gutter of Welsh politics.- would it?
