A reported racist incident has made the pages of the Daily Mail. Northamptonshire Police are investigating a complaint of racism from a traveller against Basil Brush...yes you read that correctly. The alleged racist incident took place on CBBC, the BBC's digital service for children which ran a re-run of a program made six years ago and featured a gypsy woman trying to sell the children's puppet heather and wooden pegs. Joseph Jones, vice-chairman of the Southern England Romany, Gypsy and Irish Traveler Network compared the programme to the Black and White Minstrel Show. No doubt the police will leap into action and investigate this racist incident. The only problem they may face is the ban on Fox hunting.
