The British National Party has won its second seat in the European parliament with the election of party leader Nick Griffin as MEP for the North West region of England. The BNP polled 132,094 votes in the North West region. The Party's first Member of the European Parliament won in the Yorkshire and Humberside region with candidate Andrew Brons winning with 120,139 votes. This is a historic moment.
