Mickey Mouse Should Be Killed Says Muslim Cleric

Sheikh Muhammad Munajid, a former diplomat at the Saudi embassy in Washington DC, has stated that the seemingly lovable cartoon character Mickey Mouse is in fact a “Soldier of Satan” and under Islamic law, should be killed.

Speaking about religious affairs on al-Majd, an Arab TV station, Mr. Munajid said:

“The mouse is one of Satan’s soldiers and is steered by him. According to Islamic law, the mouse is a repulsive, corrupting creature. How do you think children view mice today - after Tom and Jerry? Mickey Mouse has become an awesome character, even though according to Islamic law, Mickey Mouse should be killed in all cases.”

Mr. Munajid was again very outspoken about a pressing global issue only last month when he gave his opinion on the Beijing Olympics, classifying them as the “Bikini Olympics”, stating: “Nothing made Satan happier than seeing females athletes dressed in skimpy outfits.”
